How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Delta Material Services is seeking a Product Line Specialist for a full-time position. You will be responsible for supporting the strategic evaluation, sourcing, and repair investment of engine and airframe component materials. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in optimizing asset performance across Delta’s internal operations and the global afterspanet. You’ll be responsible for conducting financial analysis, maintaining part-out models, monitoring spanet trends, and supporting procurement and pricing strategies for high-value components. This role works closely with multiple divisions of TechOps and DMS to deliver cost savings to Delta.The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, an understanding of the aviation afterspanet, and a passion for delivering data-driven results. They would also have experience with technical and commercial knowledge of engine and airframe components and repairs, be familiar with current spanet values, understand the used serviceable afterspanet, and have experience in financial analysis. Primary FunctionsIdentify future material demand requirements for Delta and the global afterspanet.Gather spanet data on part value and trends and capture within the DMS CRM system.Assist in maintaining airframe and engine inventory levels through strategic sourcing or selling to match trends and demand signals.Maintain part-out financial models to determine the value of end-of-life and green time assets.Provide guidance and pricing methodology for larger component acquisitions in support of DMS cross-functional projects.Consistent inventory review and valuations to support inventory turnover goals.Source and identify engine components for repair that maximize financial returns.Expand the existing trading relationships with Delta, external airlines, MROs, and OEMs.Deliver cost savings and value-added solutions to achieve the greatest impact on Delta.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a material supply chain discipline such as procurement, repairs, pricing, or related fieldsDemonstrated success in problem-solving, analytical skills, and data analysisExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and relationship-building skills are required.Must demonstrate the organizations values of integrity, respect, and perseverance. Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance/Accounting, Operations Management or Supply Chain Management. Experience in the use of SAP, Salesforce, Cloud, Share Point, Tableau, PowerPoint, SQL and highly proficient in Excel.
