The Maintenance Control Duty Engineer will tactical management of fleet health, oversight, and management of technical and operational events outside of main base. Provide technical support and guidance to outstations engineering teams. Provide support to Network operations to manage recovery from disruptions. Monitor aircraft status based on outstation feedback and aircraft health monitoring tools and advice concerned stakeholders for necessary corrective action, ensuring highest levels of safety, airworthiness and compliance.
In this role, you will:
Works closely with the Senior Engineer Maintenance Control Centre to manage, control and co-ordinate all outstation Aircraft on Ground situations & where necessary issue dispensations/concessions in line with known operational & engineering safety practices.
Monitor fleet health status, review downlinks and plan interventions to uphold aircraft serviceability and optimal dispatch reliability. Ensures all unscheduled/preventative maintenance down time is fully utilised (both Dubai and Outstations) especially repeat defect rectification and unscheduled work.
Collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify, highlight and resolve any issues affecting schedule integrity, operational continuity and aircraft availability.
Monitor and maintain an in-depth and current understanding of the companys aircraft fleet status considering the Technical, Regulatory and compliance documentation for example, Technical
Notifications (TN), Quality Notices (QN), TFUs (Technical Follow Up) and Engineering Procedures Manual (EPM).
Manage all aspects of outstation aircraft on ground event holistically including providing technical solutions, logistical coordination, regulatory compliance, and adherence to local laws and regulations.
Provide accurate and timely updates regarding any ongoing outstation disruptions/AOGs to the Maintenance Control Duty Manager, Network Control, Senior Management, and all relevant operation teams.
Deliver expert technical advice, guidance, and support to outstation engineering teams, flight operations, and cabin crew to ensure operational excellence.
Responsible for the successful completion of all mandatory training and recurrent modules to enhance professional competencies and ensure compliance with CAMO, regulatory standards, and CAR 145 requirements.
