Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and supports the Sentinel program.

What youll get to do:

• The selected candidate will perform technical planning, support design reviews and continue the development of a tool to communicate and track action items internally and with our customer
• Demonstrate technical skills, organization, be an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate
• Have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program as required to accomplish tasking

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Masters degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• Strong Systems Engineering skills
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with Atlassian suite (jira, confluence, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ICBM programs
• Experience with Design Reviews
• Experience with DOORS
• Experience with Agile Development

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Sentinelsystems

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
