Lead, develop, and motivate engineering teams responsible for the design and development of Synthetic Vision Systems. Responsibilities
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Technology and Business
- Responsible for technical solution development (systems design & interface definition) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across integrated product teams. Capable of thought leadership with focus on core architecture with increased reusability and drive reduction in reapplication cost.
- Drives systems development, design effectiveness, first-time right implementation with human factors. Works with LSE, Sys and SW Architects on design and architecture improvements.
- Establishes strong working relationships with key stakeholders (M&PM, AdvTech, Chiefs, LSE’s) to support NPI’s and RMU. Supports next-gen core product evolution in partnership with these stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Aircraft Certification processes, Aviation mandates, System Safety Considerations and working knowledge of certification activities
- Familiarity with Agile execution and product development

- Mentors engineers to develop cross-platform skills, supports technology up-skilling, competitive intelligence analysis etc.
- Be self-motivated towards developing and demonstrating new product features to PAC, HTS Growth Council etc to secure funding through PPV/POC’s.
- Support HGR pursuits, look for opportunities to get industry exposure through customer visits, share knowledge gained through conference participation etc.
- Imbibes and role models Honeywell behaviors and values, HTS DNA and participates in HOS initiatives as change agent.
Qualifications
Skills Requirements:
- B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Electric/Electronics/Computers/Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 12 years of experience working various application areas supporting avionics functions
- Worked at least 2 projects end-end with global teams, preferably in Primary Flight Display or Navigation Display.
- Experience working in systems design, developing systems requirements and tests. Highly skilled in simulating flight scenarios and verifying function behavior. Good experience and Knowledge of Displays Product lines is preferred.
- Proven Systems development expertise demonstrated on programs including high level of expertise in Design Library, Core Requirements development, leadership of FCI’s etc.
- Strong Avionics domain knowledge.
- Expertise working with Aerospace standards, Architecture principles, ARP4754A and familiarity with DO178B/C.
- Good awareness of the business and technological opportunities and challenges.
