Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They analyze product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes that support these customer requirements. As a Manufacturing Engineer with our Raytheon team, you’ll apply your skills to develop, test, modify and create solutions through a collaborative effort with our stakeholders.

What You Will Do:
As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Designing, controlling and improving the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
- Improving cycle and lead times
- Implementing manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
- Creating and overseeing improvement projects
- Translating engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
- Performing hardware defect analysis
- Participating in corrective action investigations
- Able to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Farmington, NM site.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position
- Experience with project execution
- Experience creating or revising work instructions in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with a shop floor management system (i.e. SAP, PRISM, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with technical writing
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
- Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming and adjusting software parameters on production or process equipment to fix problems or improve performance
- Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
