Job Description:

The Tactical Buyer II will play a critical role in executing procurement activities in support of government contract programs, ensuring materials, components, and services are delivered on time and in full compliance with regulatory and company requirements. This position owns the full purchase order lifecycle—from requisition through delivery—while managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, and proactively expediting orders to meet production schedules. The role requires a strong understanding of FAR/DFARS regulations and the ability to produce compliant purchasing documentation, including price analyses and audit-ready records.

This individual will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to translate technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies. A manufacturing background is essential to evaluate supplier capabilities, resolve technical challenges, and drive practical solutions across the supply chain. The Tactical Buyer II will also monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply. Success in this role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to regulatory compliance, and the ability to balance cost, quality, and schedule in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Compensation: $52/hr.
