Description:You will be a CNC Programmer, responsible for developing and writing programs for numerically controlled machines using engineering specifications and drawings. Our team is responsible for ensuring that parts are machined accurately and efficiently, and that programs are optimized for production.

What You Will Be Doing
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings to define the configuration of parts and determine the type and sequence of machine operations. You will develop programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools, selecting the proper cutters and program routines for efficient calculation of dimensional and machining requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and writing programs for numerically controlled machines using engineering specifications and drawings
• Analyzing engineering drawings to define the configuration of parts and determine the type and sequence of machine operations
• Developing programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools
• Selecting proper cutters and program routines for efficient calculation of dimensional and machining requirements
• Testing and modifying existing parts programs for engineering changes or program improvements
• Investigating advancements in machining, tooling, and work-holding technologies
• Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure programs meet production requirements and optimize machine performance

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree

Experience with CNC Machining Processes

Experience with programming 3 and 4 Axis CNC equipment

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience in GibbsCAM, Siemens NX, or MasterCam

Ability to multi-task, outstanding effective interpersonal skills, and a consistent track record of teambuilding

Experience with Fanuc, Mazak and Siemens based controllers is a plus

Ability to effectively communicate, resolve issues and deliver presentations to a diverse set of customers regarding complex technical issues

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-organization relationships

Experience implementing continuous improvement projects

Experience leading the development and implementation of new tools and processes

Experienced in tooling and fixturing designs

Experience with programming 5 Axis CNC equipment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
