Aviation Search Group has partnered with a premier Tier 1 aerospace manufacturer that produces flight-critical, highly complex assemblies for some of the industry's most important programs, including the Boeing 737 MAX, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and the broader Textron Aviation portfolio
This position is one of the highest-impact leadership roles in the company and is a build-it, not a maintain-it role. The leader selected is responsible for creating and implementing a single, standardized master scheduling framework that serves as the source of truth across supply chain, program management, and operations. In addition, this leader will play a pivotal role in reducing a substantial past-due backlog while supporting increasing production rates across several of the aerospace industry's highest-demand commercial and defense programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This high-impact director role is responsible for oversight and coordination of requirements from customers in order to develop and drive the Master Scheduling function at PMC. Monitor flow of product through the PMC factory based on forecasts, firm purchase orders, and scheduled requirements. Provide cross-functional support and collaboration regarding all factory constraints and any deviation from the Master Schedule.
- Develop, own, and maintain the master production schedule for PMC, ensuring full alignment with customer requirements, demand forecasts, and firm purchase orders.
- Monitor product and material flow through the factory, identify constraints and bottlenecks, and drive corrective action to improve schedule adherence and on-time delivery.
- Build a standardized scheduling process from the ground up, replacing fragmented and conflicting priority lists with one clear source of truth for the entire site.
- Maintain and monitor capacity charting and develop recommendations to keep production within capacity thresholds.
- Lead recurring status meetings with purchasing, production, and quality assurance to ensure schedule requirements are met.
- Own communication of past-due status to senior leadership and direct expedite personnel across PMC and outside processing to keep product flowing on time.
- Review sales and forecasting data from customers and validate MRP accuracy; monitor min/max accounts and long lead items, prioritizing emergent requirements as they arise.
- Develop and implement an efficient order release process aligned to customer requirements, and continuously improve the policies and reporting systems that support it.
- Partner with Program Management to ensure customer commitments and new order activity are translated accurately into the factory schedule.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement on inbound material timing, schedule priorities, and recovery planning.
- Align daily execution with Operations leadership across assembly, machining, shipping, kitting, receiving, and material management.
- Clarify and formalize role ownership across scheduling, program management, and supply chain, where responsibilities have historically overlapped.
- Build meaningful reporting and visibility into backlog, past-due orders, schedule adherence, and material utilization, even within a challenging legacy systems environment.
- Provide direct input into Atlas’s upcoming ERP implementation, shaping a future-state system built around real scheduling and operational visibility needs.
- Support coordination with the Mexico facility as an extension of PMC capacity.
