As an Buyer, you’ll perform purchases of indirect parts for aero engine build and delivery
The Job:
•Obtains quotations from vendors to ensure favourable quality, price and delivery terms; researches new products and vendors;
• Provides data to technical staff and assists them in purchasing decisions.
• Expedites orders to ensure timely delivery of purchases by verifying initial demands and analyzing backorder reports.
•Interfaces with vendors, staff and management to resolve discrepancies, answer questions and provide guidance and training on inventory systems.
•Controls data integrity of inventory systems by creating and updating item master files,, monitoring past due purchase orders and work-in-progress, researching inventory discrepancies, verifying and updating alternate parts file, and verifying and updating standard costs.
•Coordinates and monitors the return of damaged goods, arranging for replacements or credits, and documents all transactions.
•Coordinate with overseas and local suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
•Work closely with the Shipping & Warehouse Team on overseas shipment arrivals
•Take part in periodic cycle count process.
•Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices.
Requirements :
•GCE " N" or "O" Level / Nitec/ Higher Nitec / Diploma from a Technical discipline or equivalent
•At least 2 years of procurement and stock management experience in a manufacturing or aero engine MRO environment
•Familiarity with ERP systems.
•Bilingual - able to communicate with local vendors in Mandarin
•Working knowledge of custom clearance and logistic arrangement
