Silver Airways is hiring Part-time Ramp Agents at our Ft. Lauderdale station. As a Ramp Agent, you will be the face of our company by providing our customers a positive impression and travel experience by delivering top-notch service and assistance by ensuring safe, secure, and timely baggage delivery to and from the terminal and the aircraft. This is a Part-time position at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Day to Day Responsibilities 

• Marshaling aircraft into parking positions
• Unloading baggage and delivering it to baggage claim area, loading luggage onto departing flights
• Assisting special needs passengers, loading and unloading carry-on bags, cleaning aircraft cabins, servicing aircraft lavatories
• Connecting and disconnecting external power generators to the aircraft, boarding catering supplies, performing security functions, preparing aircraft weight and balance paperwork
• Coordinating with pilots, airline dispatch office, and the customer service department 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to work any shift in a 24-hour period, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays 
• Must be extremely flexible; willing and able to prioritize Silver work schedule 
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment 
• Must have professional appearance 
• Excellent attendance and punctuality required 
• Valid Driver’s License Required · US Passport or Equivalent Required 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen, FBI Fingerprint, & Criminal History check

Education and Experience

• 1 – 3 years previous experience and safety awareness or training required 

Physical Requirements 

• Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 70 pounds repeatedly
• MUST be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to qualify for this position
• Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this position
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and stoop repeatedly
• Working Conditions: Silver Airways flies in all weather conditions and Ramp Agents are required at times to work during freezing cold, rain, and extremely warm temperatures
