Assistant Chief InspectorJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Thermal, California (Southern California/Palm Springs area).
Job DescriptionAs the Assistant Chief Inspector coordinates and executes all inspection and quality functions on and off aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and compliance with maintenance standards.
Responsibilities- Ensure regulatory compliance and report findings to the Chief Inspector.
- Maintain knowledge of regulations, technical data, and airworthiness directives.
- Audit inspection and maintenance records.
- Develop and maintain audit schedules and corrective actions.
- Ensure inspection tools are properly labeled and functional.
- Oversee field inspectors during various work scopes.
- Manage contract maintenance provider program and coordinate with the FAA.
- Assist in filing reports on serious failures, malfunctions, or defects.
- Determine reporting requirements under FAA programs.
- Compile data for incident reports and communicate priorities.
- Review Training Needs Assessment and ensure personnel are properly trained.
- Support the Chief Inspector and maintain communication with Fleet Managers and other leaders.
- Participate in weekly quality and maintenance meetings.
Skills & Qualifications- A & P license
- Minimum of 10 years of aircraft inspection experience
- Flexibility and commitment to long-term employment
Skills & Qualifications- Preferred Qualifications: Prior Boeing 737 Fireliners, Hercules C-130, Citation, or King Air Experience.
- Inspector Authorization (IA) License

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
