Summary:
Perform inspections using engineering drawings, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures, and related documentation
Conduct preliminary, in-process, and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems
Verify functional operation, inspect for FOD (Foreign Object Debris), and ensure proper documentation
Witness, verify, and document manufacturing process steps
Perform conformity and first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures
Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment
Conduct area inspections to verify compliance with standards and specifications
Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe work environment
Report hazards and participate in safety investigations
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel
Assist with process and quality improvements
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of quality inspection experience OR 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience
2+ years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred
Working knowledge of shop mathematics
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or CATIA models
Proficiency with basic shop tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Completion of formal inspection training program within 90 days
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
