Aerotek is seeking aircraft structures mechanics in Central Point, OR. Pay range $30-52/hour DOE, per diem available. Must be comfortable performing a structures test on or before the first day. Must have own tools - basic hand tools minimum.
Structures Mechanic will be responsible for the heavy maintenance and build-up/refurbishment of heavy-lift commercial operations helicopters (S64). This role requires utilizing blueprints to perform repairs through riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal, and installing structural components. Tasks are assigned based on the mechanics abilities, with those skilled in fabrication focusing on fabrication, and those skilled in installation focusing on installation.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on helicopter structures using blueprints.
- Rivet, countersink, bend, and cut sheet metal.
- Install structural components on helicopters.
- Fabricate or install parts based on skill level.
Essential Skills- Experience with structures, sheet metal, and aircraft repairs.
- Ability to perform sheet metal repair and structural repairs on helicopters.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Capability to drill, cut, bend, countersink, and rivet aircraft sheet metal.
- 4+ years of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Possession of basic hand tools is required.
- A&P certification is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable performing a Structures test involving riveting and bending on or before the first day.

Work Environment
Work in aircraft hangar and shop areas located in Medford, OR, and Central Point, OR. Benefit from access to an advanced electronic tool crib. The shift pattern is Monday through Thursday, 6 AM to 4 PM, and Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. After three months, there may be a shift to a 3 PM to 2 AM schedule (4 x 10-hour shifts), so flexibility is required.
