- A minimum of two years recent experience in aircraft egress system maintenance and completion of a basic egress system maintenance course is required.
- A working knowledge of the repair of aircraft egress systems and of the use of associated schematic diagrams, charts and drawings is required.
- Must possess knowledge of the applicable technical orders, related publications and safety regulations.
- High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
- Specialized courses in egress systems maintenance are desired.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- The basic course requirement may be waived by HQ AETC if there is extensive hands on, practical experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver’s license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL.
- Physical exertion requirement is heavy.
