PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the aerospace industry to hire a Final Line Mechanic who’s ready to play a hands-on role in bringing aircraft to life. In this team-driven environment, you’ll be responsible for installing, assembling, and fine-tuning critical aircraft systems—ensuring every component meets the highest standards before final inspection and flight.
Your Impact
As a Final Line Mechanic, you’ll be one of the last—and most important—touchpoints in the aircraft production process. Your work directly ensures safety, performance, and quality, helping deliver aircraft that meet strict industry and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structural parts and system components
Rig control cables, linkages, landing gear, doors, engines, and control surfaces
Install system lines, valves, ducts, and associated hardware, ensuring leak-free performance
Remove, replace, cut, and fit system lines, panels, and structural components for repairs
Diagnose and perform basic repairs on mechanical systems and components
Use specialized tools such as permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, gauges, and more
Ensure all installations meet quality standards and perform rework as needed
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
Document work by maintaining logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, etc.)
Inspect your own work to ensure defect-free installation prior to final inspection
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow FOD and 5S safety programs
Support continuous improvement initiatives and team goals
Assist in aircraft certification and may support flight test operations as needed
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
At least 1 year of aerospace/aviation experience OR equivalent mechanical experience (automotive, heavy equipment, etc.)
A&P license may substitute for required experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Hands-on experience with tools and mechanical systems
Ability to perform drilling, reaming, and basic fitting tasks
Physically capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam systems
Previous experience in aircraft final line assembly or manufacturing environments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Pay Details: $25.66 per hour
