Parker HAFD manufactures and sells products that filter, purify, and remove water from hydrocarbon fuels, oils and other fluids. Parker HAFD serves a variety of spanets throughout the world with a broad range of fluid clarification products and remains a leader in filtration with premier quality standards and state-of-the art engineering, prototyping and test lab.
Responsibilities
Independent set up and operation of various manufacturing equipment such as bubble point room, hot plates, laser spaner, glue dispensers, etc.
Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures. Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read blue prints and follow engineering instructions. Proficient in all types of equipment used in work area within 90 days of hire. Computer skills: Ability to use labor clock within 10 days of hire. Proficient in all aspects of inspection gages for the area after training period ends. Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days of hire. Utilize Lean tools and be active participant in Lean events and High Performance Teams. Participate in 5S activities per Manager request. Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills. Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment. Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends. Other assignments as assigned by Leadership.
Qualifications
Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing environment Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English Mechanical Aptitude: Intermediate Math skills – Basic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, converting decimals to fractions Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
