Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Inspector to join our Quality Engineering team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for upholding the quality regulations of the company and ensuring that all products meet expectations before progressing to the manufacturing line. You will conduct regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and suggest improvements to the quality process. This role demands great attention to detail and excellent technical and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from suppliers and outgoing products.
  • Reject products and materials that do not meet quality expectations.
  • Read drawings, plans, and specifications to understand material and part requirements.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to specifications.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure continuous quality control improvement.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing inspection plans and performance records.
  • Resolve immediate quality-related inspection needs in a timely manner.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in quality inspection and blueprint reading.
  • Experience with various digital measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Experience with cross commodities including PCBAs, metals, 3D printed parts, motors, electronics, and composites.
  • Ability to use spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to conduct electrical troubleshooting and quality control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Formal inspection experience is preferred.
  • Ability to use micrometer, calipers, and inspection tools effectively.

Work Environment

Work alongside a team of 2 Quality Inspectors, Engineers, and a Lead Quality Engineer on an open production floor separated by various assembly stations. Enjoy a casual dress code while working Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm, with flexibility to accommodate changing shifts and occasional weekend work. Experience a diverse and inclusive culture within a team that is continuously growing, currently with a headcount above 60.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
