Job Title: Airframe Sheet Metal MechanicJob Description
The Airframe Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for the installation of aircraft sheet metal and structural components, ensuring adherence to approved methods, techniques, and practices. This role supports the repair and service of blade and missile system parts for domestic and foreign customers.
Responsibilities
- Interface with crew lead and other technicians as required.
- Install sheet metal and structures from instructions and drawings.
- Install sheet metal and structures to meet customer needs.
- Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
- Conduct continuity and power checks.
- Operate ground support equipment such as power carts, tugs, and forklifts.
- Remove, inspect, repair, and reinstall aircraft parts and systems.
Essential Skills- 7+ years of continuous structures/sheet metal experience in an aircraft mechanical specialty on any fixed-wing or rotary aircraft.
- 1+ years of CV or V-22 experience or one year of documented recent experience on the CV, V-22, or CMV-22 within the past three years.
- Extensive working knowledge using technical publications, bulletins, diagrams, ground support equipment, and precision tools in accordance with the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM).
- Active secret clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Prior APU and Blade Fold Wing Stow qualification.
- Aircraft tow qualification.
- Refuel/defuel qualification.
- Experience with tugs, forklifts, and cranes.

Work Environment
The work environment is based at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. Employees will work with ground support equipment and are expected to adhere to military standards and procedures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.01 - $45.01/hr.
