✅ WHAT YOU’LL DOYou’ll support advanced aerospace manufacturing through tasks such as:
- Building composite & metallic structural assemblies of varying complexity
- Setting up, aligning, and securing precision assembly fixtures
- Operating drills, die grinders, calipers, countersinks & standard aircraft tools
- Drilling high‑accuracy holes into composites, metals & multi‑layer stack‑ups
- Installing aerospace fasteners: Hi‑Lok, Hi‑Lite, Composi‑Lok, Cherry Max, and more
- Performing trimming, fitting, sealing, and structural fastening operations
- Assisting in repair evaluations and technical troubleshooting
- Supporting root‑cause analysis for defects or deviations
- Ensuring compliance with engineering, quality, and safety requirements
- Following detailed engineering drawings, build instructions, and digital work orders
- Maintaining strict FOD prevention, 5S housekeeping, and safety standards
- Collaborating with engineers, inspectors, and other technicians
🛠️ WHAT YOU BRING- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years hands‑on aircraft structure or fabrication experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with precision‑driven assembly work
- Skilled with aircraft tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment
- Ability to correctly identify and install common aerospace fasteners
- Confidence reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and 3D models
⭐ PREFERRED SKILLS- Knowledge of drilling speeds/feeds & material‑specific techniques
- Understanding of tolerance control & structural joining standards
- Experience with composites, metals, or mixed‑material assemblies
- Interest in emerging spacecraft manufacturing processes
- A&P license or related training (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with lean/continuous improvement practices
- Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and quality
