Description
As an Assembly Operations Manager you will be responsible to assure the flawless and timely daily operation of meal and tray assembly as well as that of the Amiri flight handling. This includes that meals are pre-set as per standard menu grid specification and GLP provided by airlines and set up activities are carried out as per Food Safety Guidelines with 100 control of HACCP requirement.
Accountabilities:
- Organizes and monitors tray set and aircraft cart with dishes, hand over and sign off processes for all catering orders on time and according to customer schedule, specifications and standards.
- Liaise with airline representatives to ensure full department compliance relating to their policies and procedures.
- Ensure the department services provide efficient and exceptional standard of service.
- Develop, implement and conduct training programs in conjunction with QACC managers.
- Ensure full training program is in place and fully operational, training programs target all employees and ensure compliance with company new hire, as-needed, and annual refresher.
- Organize the implementation of management instructions including customer service, aircraft catering delivery and handling, food safety, HACCP, quality control and Health and Safety.
- Responsible for non-conformances or VR and that these reported, investigated and any corrective actions are implemented and reported to the senior management.
- Assign new projects to the team to reduce injuries and/ or increases operational reliability.
- Establishe and manage forecasting and analysis procedures for determining load factor trends to establish and appropriate level of required staffing and scheduling.
- Organize and follow up on the departments training activities, maintain status report on mandatory training status food safety, hygiene, first aid and fire safety.
- Assure compliance with the companies Food Safety and Health & Safety Guidelines.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding daily, weekly, monthly and yearly operational plan.
- Prepare clear reports with facts and figures in case of flight delays/accident/incident or any operational Emergencies.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
- Establish the department or team’s objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate the department or team’s objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.

Qualifications
High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification [Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 7 years of job-related experience OR Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience.
Job Specific Skills:
- Fluent command of English and at least one other language.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating forward planning, initiative, and business process improvement, whilst tackling extra duties as required.
- Numeracy and ability to present data clearly and accurately.
- Demonstrative initiative and autonomy.
- Accountable for decisions taken and project delivery.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates skills.
