General
This is a full-time, FLSA exempt position reporting to the 119 Director of Operations. The role works closely with all departments and is responsible for the oversight of the Company’s Flight Attendants and Inflight Management team. The primary goal is to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability while meeting customer experience expectations. Strong communication skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe conduct of all in-flight personnel per company and FAA requirements.
- Serve as the primary FAA contact for all inflight service and cabin service matters.
- Coordinate formal correspondence between the FAA, DOD, and Company leadership.
- Ensure the competence and currency of all Flight Attendants, Supervisors, and Instructors.
- Responsible for the content, currency, and quality of inflight operations manuals.
- Authorized to establish and modify policies, procedures, and instructions for all in-flight manuals.
- Participate in Flight Attendant recruitment with People Services.
- Oversee the development of all training programs and curriculum for in-flight personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all CFRs and company policies.
- Maintain certification and records for all training programs (initial, recurrent, transition).
- Participate in safety and compliance duties per the Safety and Regulatory Compliance Manual.
- Monitor and help maintain staffing levels based on operational needs.
- Resolve scheduling disputes with Crew Scheduling and Flight Attendants.
- Conduct internal audits of training materials for regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the quality of Cabin Crewmember Checks and Qualifications processes.
- Manage the Inflight Team with balanced empathy and accountability.
- Coordinate with People Services on personnel actions (counseling, hiring, separations, injury/illness cases).
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience (aviation preferred)
- At least 3 years of prior Flight Attendant experience
- At least 3 years of management/supervisory experience
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and CFRs required
- Ability to manage teams with accountability and empathy
- Current U.S. Passport valid for at least 6 months
- Valid travel documents permitting international travel
- Maintains a polished, professional, and conservative appearance
- Ability to multitask and perform in high-pressure environments
- Must pass DOT drug test, background checks, and CHRC
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
