About the role
The Shop Team Leader is responsible for assisting Duty Manager in managing shift operations, focusing on sales and gross profit targets through excellent customer service and effective management of the sop sales team. He/she coordinates interaction between the shop and the warehouse to ensure first class merchandising and customer service at all times
Assist Duty Manager in organizing daily operational shop requirements such as staffing, cash and stocking to ensure sales are maximized and company policy and procedures are followed by the staff.
Assist Duty Manager in carrying out daily priorities on a shift basis to ensure work flow is completed within the required timeline.
Monitor and maintain appearance of retail shop operation through taking floor walks within and outside QDC premises to ensure that the shop is clean and safe for both customers and employees.
Monitor stock movement from warehouse to shop by working with warehouse team ensuring proper stock rotation and shelves are fully merchandised with correct products to maximize sales opportunities.
Perform random spot checks on prices, promotion posters and signages to ensure that it reflects correct detail and information.
Conduct on-the-job training for all sales team to help improve their customer service and product knowledge skills to better serve the customer.
Assign staff distribution (weekly) ensuring service sequence is maintained at high standards at all times. Communicate special promotion and new product launches by conducting pre-shift briefings, ensuring that the team is well briefed and trained prior to launching new products and promotions.
Ensure QDC customer service counter is manned at all times by positively responding to guest feedback or complains in a friendly and efficient manner, and accordingly brings all complaints to Duty Manager or Manager Retail and Permit Operations attention for future improvement.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed b the Head of the Department.

Qualifications
About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Minimum of 1 years of job-related experience
Job Specific Skills:
Command of English language both written and oral.
Proven ability to manage staff on day to day basis.
Basic computer skills.
