Role Purpose Statement

The Warehouse Operations Manager will lead a high‑volume offsite warehouse in Kent, WA, ensuring reliable support for daily kitchen and operational needs. This role owns inventory accuracy, PAR level management, staffing oversight, and the efficient flow of goods that enable seamless production.

 

Success in this position requires a highly organized, forward‑thinking leader who can identify operational gaps, implement scalable processes, and build a foundation for long‑term excellence.

 

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadershipe skills, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, communicates clearly across teams, and drives a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Main Accountabilities

Warehouse Management

  • Oversee all aspects of inventory management to ensure financial and customer requirements are met
  • Handle all company and customer owned merchandise received until it is issued to production
  • Determine par levels and order quantities based on airline specifications, menus and vendor lead time 
  • Track product usage and yields in relation to ordering requirements
  • Coordinate and participate in inventory and reporting processes
  • Handle all Customs paperwork, ASIE, and Bond requirements as needed
  • Maintain regulatory compliance standards (examples: US Customs, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc.)
  •  Leadership
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
  • Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy
  • Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team
  • Make the companys values and management principles live in the department(s)
  • Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety
     
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•    3 to 5 years of Warehouse / distribution leadership experience (high-volume operation) 
•    Proven experience overseeing: 
•    Inventory management & controls
•    PAR levels and replenishment planning
•    Receiving, storage, and distribution processes
•    Experience managing both salaried and hourly employees, including frontline supervisors with an oversight of 30+ team members in department 
•    Strong operational leadership in a fast-paced, high-demand environment 
•    Demonstrated ability to: 
o    Build and implement processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
o    Identify root causes and solve systemic operational issues
•    Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail 
•    Excellent communication skills (internal cross-functional + external stakeholders) 
•    Experience with safety programs, compliance, and maintaining a safe working environment 
•    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands 
•    Proficiency with warehouse systems / inventory systems (WMS, ERP, or similar)

 

Preferred/Nice to Have:
•    Experience supporting food production, kitchen, or commissary operations
•    Experience in large-scale, offsite warehouse environments
•    Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma exposure a plus)
•    Experience scaling operations or supporting rapid growth environments
