The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Fire Inspector to join the team in Berkeley, MO.
The Boeing Fire Department is the world’s largest Industrial fire department. Boeing firefighters provide a safe working environment and are ready to respond to emergencies and disasters at our Boeing sites. The Boeing St. Louis Region has a diverse footprint with fire services supporting three sites. The St. Charles weapons Facility, St. Louis main manufacturing facility hosting F-15, F-18, T-7A, Phantom Works, and 777X, and Mascoutah, IL., supporting the MQ-25 program.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with applicable fire and building codes and standards (i.e., federal, state, local) by assisting in the development of fire protection specifications and procedures for Boeing properties
Assists in reviewing and approving designs (e.g.; Construction, fire protection systems, production and manufacturing process), performing general fire protection analyses (e.g.; hydraulic calculations, code research, interpretation), and participation in negotiations with local building and fire agencies and conducting fire system tests/evaluations (e.g. acceptance, periodic) in order to minimize the impact of potential losses, maintain compliance with requirements and protect people , property and the environment
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by participating in design reviews and approvals (e.g.; construction, fire protection systems, production, and manufacturing processes)
Assists in the performance of general fire protection analyses, fire inspections and system tests to minimize the impact of potential fire losses and maintain compliance with requirements and protect people, property and the environment
Assists in the revision of company standards, processes and procedures by teaming with internal customers (e.g.; Workplaces Services, business units, EHS) to comply with applicable codes and standards and to enhance the fire safety for the company
Supports the determination of the applicability of insurance standards and recommendations to our business by assisting with insurance surveys and fire system tests in order to develop and revise company protection specifications and procedures along with making recommendation to company management and advises insurance representatives of company position
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Emergency Services
3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project
3+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
3+ years of experience applying risk management and mitigation principles
1+ years of experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment
Experience with Security & Fire Protection (S&FP)
Current National Registry or Missouri State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification

Summary pay range: $64,600 – $87,400
