As a Flight Watch Coordinator, you will plan, collaborate and control all ground handling activities, which includes pro-actively supporting and engaging in delivering the OAL & Flydubai baggage operation on assigned flights. Act as the point of contact for airlines and teams for flight related information in order to achieve safe and on-time departure in line with the SLAs of dnata airport operations. The intent of this role is to solve problems before they become a problem for the front line delivery teams to solve, which impacts or disrupts the operational activities and deliver end to end aircraft turnaround coordination.
In this role, you will:
- Oversees the flight schedules and reviews aircraft ready state to ensure on-time flight arrival and departures across all airports.
- Oversee operational requirements related to baggage/cargo and passenger prior to arrival/departure.
- Briefs dAO core supervision on the flight details to ensure that flight requirements are covered.
- Coordinates all activities (above and below wing) for a safe timely Turnaround process.
- Records the provision of additional ground services above the agreed SLA to ensure accurate flight wise billing is undertaken, to protect from revenue leakage.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Implements and monitors airline requirements according to SLA/ASR and provides effectively engagement with the team on the day of operations.
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices.
- Collects relevant flight briefings from Airline representatives to ensure resources are correctly allocated.
- Acts as the focal point on the day of operations for a particular flight, makes the required decisions and provides guidance
- Monitors the time schedules of flights through AACS to ensure that the team on the day of operations are informed and updated on any changes/ challenges.
- Takes immediate action to escalate and rectify irregular operations proactively in coordination with relevant stakeholders
- Investigates significant flights delays and any breaches of SLAs to ensure that corrective action measures are taken and the appropriate report is created.
- Maintains relationship with internal and external departments such as DAC, Group Safety & Security, Airport Police, Immigration, airline customers to ensure that the needs are met and satisfaction is enhanced
