Job Title: Hydraulic Technician

Job Description

The Hydraulic Technician will perform complete overhauls of aircraft components with a strong focus on hydraulic systems. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and servicing aircraft hydraulic components such as landing gear, actuators, and fuel pumps while ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete overhaul of aircraft components with an emphasis on hydraulic systems.
• Inspect, repair, and service aircraft hydraulic components, including landing gear, actuators, and fuel pumps.
• Disassemble, clean, assess, and reassemble hydraulic components according to technical manuals and blueprints.
• Use blueprints and manuals to interpret specifications, tolerances, and repair procedures accurately.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic system issues and identify root causes of failures or performance problems.
• Conduct functional tests on repaired components to verify proper operation and adherence to quality standards.
• Follow established procedures and documentation requirements for all repairs and overhauls.
• Collaborate with a small team to ensure efficient workflow and consistent quality output.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and adhere to all safety policies and guidelines.
• Support overtime work as needed to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.

Essential Skills

• 2–3 years of experience in hydraulic component overhaul in either automotive or aerospace environments.
• Hands-on experience working with hydraulic systems and components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing hydraulic system issues.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience performing mechanical repairs and assemblies.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all repair and overhaul tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Skydrol stand or Red Oil stand is a strong asset.
• Previous experience working with aircraft hydraulic components is an advantage.
• Comfort working in a small team environment with collaborative communication.

Work Environment

You will work in a small team, fostering close collaboration and consistent communication. The schedule follows a straight day shift: Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime available if desired. The role is based in a facility accessible by public transit. The work involves hands-on mechanical and hydraulic tasks in a shop setting, using tools, equipment, and test stands related to aircraft hydraulic components.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mississauga, ON.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
