About the Role

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Workshops Planning Assistant who is responsible to assists the Workshop Planning Supervisor/Workshop Engineer in technical planning preparation and execution of scheduled and unscheduled aircrafts/component packages. The role ensures regular task follow-up with all concerned stakeholders of QTR/customer aircraft components.

Operational

• Create workshop packages including TRAX Work Order, Control Sheet (including work scoping) and relevant workshop documents (such as worksheets, structure repair cards, repair card) to ensure timely work package availability.
• Retrieve all related component specific deferred defects, Engineering Orders, Component Modification Advice and previous repair history data from TRAX to ensure work scope completion.
• Review released components work packages for completeness and close work package and workshop orders in TRAX.
• Update workshops-related Components NLA transactions in TRAX.
• Prepare Workshops Technical records transmittal and send released components documents to Technical records for archiving.
• Regular follow up with Supply Chain for the Parts / Material which has been sent for external repair process and / Special Process to avoid delays.
• Regular follow up with Supply Chain for any spares, tools, and consumables shortages for the completion of tasks within allocated timeframes.
• Coordinate with other workshops for on-time completion of inter-workshop maintenance activities.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Planning Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience

Essential

• External: Minimum 3 years Aircraft Maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of workshop fundamentals and related skills to his area of employment.
• Ability to perform most tasks and duties independently typical to area of specialty.
• Knowledge of work procedures to operate equipment to maintain satisfactory operation
• Ability to extract data from Maintenance data (CMM, SRM, AMM, SB, AD).
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of air legislation.
• Sound familiarization on Company MRO software working.
• Command of English language
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
• Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
