The Manager, Specialty Sales will be responsible for planning, establishing, and implementing strategic sales strategies, customer engagement, goals, and key performance indicators that support Air Canadas business objectives and revenue targets. The Manager, Specialty Sales will also ensure alignment with the overall objectives of the Global Sales branch of Air Canada.
Responsibilities:Manage a defined group of agency accounts and trade relationships; responsible for developing and strengthening relationship with assigned accounts. Conduct regular product and sales presentations to promote Air Canada; update, foster, and grow business relationships as the primary interface between the leisure agencies and Air Canada Effectively manage the sales account’s overall revenue performance and profitability and cost of sales acquisition; establish priorities, implement revenue strategies, and follow-up on results. Create account objectives that focuses on revenue retention, spanet share improvement, and incremental growthResolve client questions and issues related to Air Canada; provide first-response solutions to accountsLiaise with internal departments and branches to support corporate objectives; efficiently communicate spanet / account feedback to appropriate stakeholders and work cross-functionally to develop solutionsCollaborate and work with JV partners to grow JV presence and revenue expansionInterpret & analyze internal reports to identify areas of opportunityConduct regular account performance reviews and identify areas of client underperformance to implement corrective measuresManage assigned account/agency clients to target and Incentive Commission PlanMonitor, analyze and report on competitive industry activity and informationDevelop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to maximize leisure travel bookings, including identifying target spanets, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns. Monitor spanet trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to identify new sales opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.Proactively prospect for new leisure travel clients through networking, cold calling, attending trade shows, and participating in industry events.Track sales performance against targets, prepare detailed sales reports, and provide insights to management to inform decision-making.Provide representation at trade events as required
QualificationsAt least 5 years work experience in client-facing Account Management or Business Development rolesBachelor’s degree in an appropriate field and/or a minimum of five (5) years of pertinent experience in a client revenue management environment Proven track record of success in sales, particularly within the travel industry, with a focus on leisure travel.Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to build strong rapport with clients.Deep understanding of the leisure travel spanet, including key trends, customer segments, and competitor landscape. Proficiency with PC Windows applications such as Power Point, Teams, Excel, and PowerBIStrong negotiation, leadership and decision-making skills. Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers Exceptional planning and organizational skills Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales strategies.
